Red Hot Of The Catwalk: Forties Glamour

There’s no doubting that the birthplace of fashion trends is the high fashion catwalk. Understandably not everyone can afford to shell out hundreds and thousands of pounds on items for their winter wardrobe. So many of us take note of the high fashion catwalk trends and explore ways of recreating them on a high street budget. Stores such as Top Shop and websites like ASOS make this relatively easy for us, converting high fashion trends into affordable high street prices.

Let’s live the dream and take a look at this autumn/ winters high fashion forties trend. Let’s face it, summer is virtually nonexistent so there’s nothing wrong with planning our winter style.

The upcoming trend is Forties Glamour. I’m talking furs, pencil skirts and pussy bow blouses.

Christian Dior combines fur with over the knee and ankle boots using a mix of warm yet bright winter colour tones and patterns.

Gucci experiments with Forties fur alongside another hot winter trend, Leather, revamped in an ultra feminine style.

Marc Jacobs experiments with a jazzy take on fur and puts a peplum spin on his pencil skirts.

Victoria Beckham keeps it feminine and classy with over the knee length dresses and large colourful clutch bags.

Were loving the hats and fur Gucci and Christian Dior are using. The colourfully sophisticated pencil skirts and dresses by Victoria Beckham and Marc Jacobs are to die for. Not forgetting Gucci's ultra chic feminine leather.
